KARACHI: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday has termed departments’ activities that exceed constitutional limits and interference in other institutions’ matters a bad omen for democracy.
According to a statement issued, Zardari said that elimination of extremism is always good but the constitution should not be breached in this regard.
“There will be harsh consequences of the politics of victimization,” Zardari warned, in a press statement today.
Zardari added that democracy demands respect of constitutional boundaries chalked out for institutions.
Zardari further added weeding out terrorism is a needed step however, breach of the constitution is never a preferred way of achieving goals.
While taunting National Accountibility Bureau (NAB), Zardari advised NAB officials to shift their office to PPP secretariat.
