Those who spread hatred are not leaders: Imran Khan

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday that a leader’s task should be to unite the nation however those who go ahead while thinning out hatred cannot be termed as leaders.

While addressing a ceremony relevant to International Women’s Day in Benazir Women University Peshawar, Imran Khan remarked that elderly people in the west have an immense dire status whereas the strength of our society is our family system therefore; it should be protected at every cost.

He questioned that why only PTI is focusing on women education and not the other political parties.

“PTI is committed to empowering women & providing them a secure enabling environment as they are the building blocks of future generations,” he added.

While talking about the political scenario, Khan was of the view that politics in the country is being done on the basis of religion and linguistics however the aim should be to draw the people together instead of dividing them.

In reference to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the PTI chief pronounced that the province will be exemplary for everyone as the police have become one of its own kinds while the government is also striving to implement rule of law and make the departments non-political.

Imran Khan stated that his mother was a political personality and a politician is one who possesses intellect and consciousness.

“My mother was my greatest inspiration and gave me the strength to be steadfast in my goals,” he said.
