ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, reached Islamabad on Monday on a one-day official visit to Pakistan.
The Turkish Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz and other officials during his visit.
During an interview to an official news agency, Turkish FM said that the excellent relations between Pakistan and Turkey have been transformed into economic partnership for the mutual benefit of both countries. He said Turkish companies’ investments in Pakistan currently stand at US$ 900 million.
There were various areas for Turkish investors – to explore in the vibrant and potential sectors of tourism, information technology, food processing, agro-based products, dairy development, hotel industry and resorts development.
Answering a question he said that Turkey appreciates efforts of the Pakistani authorities in dealing with terrorism and added that we have exemplary cooperation with Pakistan in countering terrorism.
