LAHORE: At least two people were killed as a speeding car collided with motorcycle in Lahore on Friday night.
According to details, the incident took place near Fortress Stadium when a car lost control and rammed into motorcycles coming from the opposite side.
The mishap claimed two lives while a sixteen-year-old Ibrahim who was driving a car was apprehended for further investigation.
The deceased have been identified as Abdullah and Shahzad. Police officers have handed over the corpses of the victims to their families.
Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
