Two terrorists killed in DG Khan shootout

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Two terrorists were shot dead in a gun battle with the law enforcers in the mountainous range of Sakhi-Sarwar, about 25 kms away from DG Khan city on Wednesday.

According to police sources, DG Khan police received information that terrorists had a camp in the area of Sakhi-Sarwar. The police alongwith other law enforcement agencies raided the area to catch the outlaws. During gun fire exchange two terrorists identified as Kareem Nawaz and Safdar got killed.

The police recovered several rounds of bullets, many klashnikovs, hand grenades and suicide jackets from their camp. According to police spokesperson, the terrorists belonged to Al-Harar group and were planning terror attempt. He also claimed that the terrorists had thrown threatening pamphlets in Wahuwa city and local police had registered cases under section 9ATA,11F6, 7ATA,11X,16POPA for terror bid.

Meanwhile, Civil defence team rushed to the site and defused the hand-grenades and suicide jackets.
