LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf on Thursday said that they will not support corruption.
Former premier was addressing a press conference here when he made the remarks. Ashraf said that recent change in attitude and tone of PM Nawaz Sharif during his public campaign is unfortunate.
Ashraf said that his party had supported the government during the sit-in by Imran Khan to protect democracy, but now they will not support corruption.
Raja said that allegations by the Panama Papers were not made anyone in Pakistan but had been raised from abroad. He said that investigations must be made either in the court or by the parliament
When asked about the rental power project allegations against him, he said that he has written a letter to the Chief Justice.
He said that those who were advising Yusuf Raza Gilani to resign should now take the advice for themselves. He advised the Prime Minister to absolve himself of all charges even if the names of his family members have appeared in the Panama Papers.
