MINSK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that it is top priority of the government to root out terrorism in Pakistan but collective effort is needed for peace and stability in the region.
Addressing a gathering at the Belarusian State University in Minsk, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan wants good relationship with all neighboring counties, including India.
He said Pakistan is pursuing good neighborly policy and wishes to improve regional connectivity.
The prime minister said Pakistan is situated on the convergence point of Central Asian countries, which has increased its importance.
He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be beneficial not only Pakistan, but for the entire region.
The Prime Minister also thanked the university administration for conferring honorary Degree of Professor to him.
