KARACHI: Light rain in different parts of Karachi on Monday has turned weather pleasant ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Moist currents are penetrating upper and eastern parts of the country and likely to continue during next few days.
A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 2 to 3 days.
Met office has also predicted that weather would remain pleasant in Karachi on Eid days while rain-thunderstorm with strong gusty winds is expected at scattered places of Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at few places in Northeast Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi divisions).
Hot and humid weather is expected in elsewhere in the country.
