KARACHI: Dr Farooq Sattar of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said that the party is going through a difficult time but we will handle the situation, reported on Wednesday.
While talking to media in Karachi, Farooq Sattar said that it is not a competition in which only 20 questions would be presented.
He said that we will not do politics based on interests as ideological people would only maintain the political harmony in harsh times.
Farooq Sattar said that MQM would put Karachi on the ways of development and prosperity by resolving its issues.
On the other hand, Izhar-ul-Hassan affirmed Farooq Sattar’s statement and said that the decisions would be taken in Pakistan.
He said Amir Liaquat’s reservations regarding party would be addressed today while Nasreen Jalil has also been asked not to resign.
Earlier, Farooq Sattar while addressing a press conference along with party leaders Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Amir Liaquat stated that every single person associated with MQM denounces anti-Pakistan slogans raised in hunger strike.
He also said that the party has strictly condemned attacks on the offices of private news channels and distances from the party’s office in London.
“Party disowns all such moves which incite violence,” Farooq Sattar said, further stating that it was not MQM s policy to achieve its goals through the use of violence. He stated that if slogans were raised against Pakistan then it should be considered that why were those slogans being raised again and again. “Such a move shall not be made from MQM s platform ever again,” he said.
Farooq Sattar was released by Rangers a day after violent MQM workers stormed a private channel’s office in Karachi.
