Won’t let accountability process undermine progress: Pervaiz Rashid

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has on Saturday said that the government will not let the process of accountability undermine the progress of the country. He added that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has himself admitted that there are flaws in NAB’s system.

Talking to media, Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has also expressed concerns over the actions of NAB and other parties also have reservations. He further stated that NAB Chairman has already admitted there are flaws in NAB’s system.

Information Minister said that Pakistan fulfilled its responsibility in Pathankot issue and it would help exalt Pakistan’s image in the international community. “No one has the right to use the territory of Pakistan in a manner that would damage Pakistan”, said Rashid.

The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) senator said that it is the duty of Pakistan’s armed forces to defend Pakistan’s borders. “Those alleging people of corruption apologize when in the court”, said the minister.
