5 mln children administered anti-polio drops in Punjab

LAHORE: As many as five million children upto 5 years of age were administered anti-polio drops during current anti-polio drive by the Extended Programme for Immunization (EPI) of Punjab Health department.


A spokesman of EPI department in a press statement Tuesday said, during the anti-polio campaign children upto 5 years of age were administered polio drops in 13 districts Bhakkar, Toba Tek Singh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Attock, Bahawalpur, Layyah, Rawalpindi, Muzzafargarh, D.G.Khan, Rajanpur, and Multan.

He said the department had also set up anti-polio centres in the districts mentioned above which monitored the drive.
