Eid ul-Fitr moon sighted in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday after Shawal moon was sighted in various parts of the country on Friday evening.

The main meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal (moon sighting) committee, presided by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, was held in Islamabad whereas meetings of different zonal committees were also held in different cities of the country.

Testimonies of moon sighting were received from several cities.

It should be noted Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Peshawar and different parts of the tribal regions. The occasion is also being celebrated in Saudi Arabia as well.
