QUETTA: Minister of State for National Health Services, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that health insurance programme is being launched in four districts of the Balochistan province.
Addressing a news briefing in Quetta on Friday, she said that the government is concentrating on health issues in Balochistan province to ensure provision of maximum treatment facilities to the people of far flung areas.
The Minister said that government is making successful efforts to eradicate polio from the country and significant decrease has been witnessed in polio cases.
She said the government is determined to eradicate polio by 2016 at all costs, therefore, the activities in this regard have been expanded to all affected areas.
She told that polio drops will be administered to 30,000 children in Tirah valley of FATA in the next polio campaign.
