Man arrested over asking paramedics to fix air conditioner

PENNSYLVANIA: A man landed himself in hot water as he called the medical services for an emergency but only to have them fix his air conditioner.

According to a foreign news agency, 27-year old Travis Turner rang the authorities complaining of having difficulty in breathing.

As he was being attended, Turner informed the paramedics that he was medically fine but his air conditioner was having problems and asked them to fix it.

The authorities stated that they received a legitimate medical call from a Chinese restaurant while Turner was being attended by the paramedics. They added that the 27-year old had endangered the welfare of a genuine patient.

He has been charged with obstructing emergency services and disorderly conduct, reports said. He has also been suspected of making 63 bogus calls to 911 over the last few years as well.
