Shab-e-Qadr being observed with traditional devotion

KARACHI: Muslims across the country will observe the holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailatul Qadr (27th night of Ramazan) tonight, the night when the first verses of the holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

According to the holy Quran, the night is better than 1,000 nights as the angels and the spirit descend therein, by the permission of Almighty Allah with all decrees.

Mosques throughout the country are being illuminated and decorated for this occasion and religious gatherings are being arranged especially for this night.

Quran is being recited and Naats are being read in hundreds of thousands of mosques throughout the country tonight.
