Use of vitamin D essential for children

The Scientists have recommended in a recent study that use of vitamin D is very essential for young children and elderly to protect against diseases such as rickets, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes and dementia.

We can get enough vitamin D by being exposed to the sun for 10 to 15 minutes a day.

A small amount of vitamin D also comes from foods such as oily fish and dairy products.
