SHARJAH: Pakistan once again rode on a brilliant hundred by Babar Azam to post a big 337-5 in their 50 overs in the second day-night international against West Indies at Sharjah on Sunday.

Azam made 125-ball 123, Shoaib Malik made 83-ball 90 and Sarfraz Ahmed knocked 47-ball 60 not out after Pakistan won the toss and batted at Sharjah stadium.

Pakistan leads the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first game — also in Sharjah — by 111 runs.

Pakistan has not made any changes to their playing XI. West Indies has made a single change as Shannon Gabriel, ruled out due to a sore neck, has been replaced by debutante Alzarri Joseph. Pakistan lead the three-match series 1-0. The team will be eyeing to clinch the series by winning the second game today.

It should be noted that Pakistan has to clean sweep West Indies if they are to climb to the eighth position in the ICC ODI rankings and qualify directly for the Super-8 stage of the 2019 Cricket World Cup. West Indies has to win today’s game in order to stay alive in the series.
