2nd T20: Sri Lanka win toss, bat first against Pakistan

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka captain Lasith Malinga on Saturday opted to bat first after winning the toss in the 2nd and final Twenty20 against Pakistan here at the Premadasa international cricket stadium.

Pakistan won the first encounter by 29 runs on Thursday. The visitors have already won ODIs 3-2 and Test series 2-1.

Vice-captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who was dropped on Thursday, not in the playing 11 today as well.

Speaking at the toss, Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi said, “he [Sarfraz] is my vice-captain and always a part of the squad”.

“We’ll give him a chance in the upcoming series in Zimbabwe,” he added.
