Accused held for firing on Wasim Akram

KARACHI: The Sindh Police have made a development in connection with a firing incident involving Pakistan cricket team’s former captain Wasim Akram as an accused is arrested here on Friday.


According to sources, the nabbed suspect is said to be a private security guard. Police is striving to bring his employer to book, who is still at large.

The owner of the vehicle was also present at the time of the incident that took place on Wednesday, they added.

The vehicle of former skipper was fired upon in the Karsaz area of the city after what police described as an incident fuelled by ‘road rage’.

The legendary left-arm fast bowler remained safe in the incident.
