KARACHI: Former captain Shahid Afridi slipped into fresh controversy over his statement that currently there is no cricket talent in Pakistan.

“We claim that there is too much talent in Pakistan, but sorry, no talent, currently the players are not at that level which is required for international cricket,” he said during an interview.

Afridi further claimed that “I’m a better player as compared to them.”

While replying to a question, Afridi said he can’t openly discuss the issues of cricket and PCB due to being a central contract player. “I have no issue in elaborating on such issue but I fear for notice,” he said smilingly.
