Aus Women beat SL women by 10 wickets in sole T20

COLOMBO: Australia Women trounced Sri Lanka Women by 10 wickets in the only T20 played at Colombo on Tuesday.

Australia won the toss and chose to field in the match.

Sri Lanka could only manage 59/8 in their 20 overs with just one batswomen scoring in double figures. Lasanthi Madushani made 17 runs from 25 balls with two boundaries to her name.

Inoka Ranaweera mde eight runs while Prasadani Weerakkody and Dilani Manodara scored seven and six runs respectively for the side.

Kristen Beams took three wickets for the visitors while Ellyse Perry, Jess Jonassen and Erin Osborne grabbed a wicket each.

Australia, chasing 60 runs to win in 20 overs, reached the target in 8.1 overs. Elyse Villani struck 34 runs from 25 deliveries with the help of five fours and a six while Beth Mooney made 29 runs from 24 balls with three boundaries to her name.
