Miandad accuses Afridi of match-fixing

KARACHI: Veteran Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad on Sunday accused Shahid Afridi of match-fixing, shortly after the latter passed derogatory remarks about him.

Miandad said Afridi has no place in the national cricket team.

“It is the board’s will whether to include him or not,” said Miandad.

Upon Afridi’s earlier remarks, the legendary cricketer said Afridi needs to apologise over his words.

“Even we had to leave our places for other youngsters,” said Miandad.

While responding to a question, Afridi mocked legendary Pakistani cricketer and former coach Javed Miandad saying “he always faced money issues”.

“That’s the difference between Imran Khan and Javed Miandad,” Afridi had said.
