Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 41 runs in first ODI

LAHORE: Pakistan pulled off a sensational win by 41 runs in the first One Day International (ODI) against Zimbabwe in Lahore on Tuesday.

E Chigumbura scored massive 117 runs in 95 runs with the help of ten 4s and four 6s. H Masakadza scored 73 runs in 73 balls and smashed four 4s and two 6s. Sikandar Raza scored 36 runs in 31 balls. While, SC Williams scored 36 runs in 28 balls.

Pacer Wahab Riaz bagged three wickets. While, Anwar Ali and Shoaib Malik took one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Green shirts posted 375 runs on board as Azhar and Hafeez scored 170 runs partnership.

Shoaib Malik scored 112 runs in 76 balls with the help of two 6s and twelve 4s. Haris Sohail scored 89 runs in 66 balls and smashed two 6s and six 4s. Opener Mohammad Hafeez scored 86 runs in 83 balls. While, skipper Azhar Ali aslo played a tremendous inning of 79 runs in 76 balls.

P Utseya took 2 wickets. While, T Panyangara bagged 1 wicket.
