LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Shahryar Khan, on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to confirm the December series in the UAE.

Shahryar wrote in the letter that ‘Anurag Thakur, secretary BCCI, should make the series possible in December’.

He further stated that: “Politics is vulnerable to highs and lows and the sport of cricket should be kept away from it.”

“Cricket is a tool to formulate peace between the countries.”

He also highlighted the issue that BCCI has with Ten Sports.

“We have given the broadcasting rights to Ten Sports and Internationl Cricket Council (ICC) accepts the channel’s bid.”

Earlier, Shahryar said that the series between Pakistan and India was nearly impossible because of BCCI’s resistance.

On ICC president Zaheer Abbas’ suggestion to play the home series in India, Shahryar also stated that ‘we are not going to play our home series in India’.
