Reply sought from Hafeez for reacting to PCB Chief’s comment

LAHORE: A formal reply has been sought from star opening batsman Mohammad Hafeez for posting tweet against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan’s ‘lack of education’ comment, reported on Tuesday.

The reaction came after Hafeez condemned statement of Shaharyar Khan that absence of well-educated players in the team has caused downfall of cricket.

Stunning batsman Hafeez took to Twitter and posted that: “Education is an important part of life but Having degrees r not enough. I m proud to b a TEST cricketer #my DEGREE.”

He said that being a Test cricketer is his degree.

While disagreeing with the remarks of PCB chairman, Hafeez said that education is very important for everyone but getting degrees is not enough in the life.

Earlier talking to newsmen in Quetta, the PCB chairman said that: “There is no graduate player in the team right now except Misbah-ul-Haq and the absence of educated players in the team is a primary reason for its recent downfall.”
