COLOMBO: Pakistan has beaten Sri Lanka in 4th One Day International (ODI) by 7 wickets as openers provided 75 runs strong partnership, NewsONE reported.
Ahmed Shehzad smashed 95 runs in 90 balls. Mohammad Hafeez scored 70 runs in 88 balls. Skipper Azhar Ali scored 33 runs in 28 balls. While, Shoaib Malik stopped the show in 41 overs by smashing rapid 29 runs in 16 balls.
Malinga, Lakmal and Siriwardana took one wicket each.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first. Fifties from Dilshan and Thirimanne provided the spine to Sri Lanka to a strong 256 for 9.
Thirimanne smashed 90 runs in 126 balls. Dilshan scored 50 runs in 59 balls. Middle order batsman Chandimal scored 20 runs in 21 balls.
Mohammad Irfan bagged 3 wickets. Anwar Ali took 2 wickets. While, Rahat Ali, Yasir Shah and Imad Wasim managed to get 1 wicket each.
