Usain Bolt crushes Justin Gatlin in World Championships 200m

BEIJING: Usain Bolt routed Justin Gatlin to win the World Championships 200m in Beijing on Thursday night, easing up across the finish line to pound his chest.

Bolt, who beat Gatlin by just .01 in the 100m final Sunday, prevailed in 19.55 seconds at the Bird’s Nest. Gatlin was second in 19.74.

Also Thursday, Allyson Felix won her first World 400m title, breaking the record for most Worlds gold medals and overall medals for an American.

Bolt and Gatlin could go head to head one more time at Worlds, in the 4x100m relay on Saturday.

Jamaican won that relay at the last two Olympics and last three World Championships.
