Williams to meet Keys in Rome final

ROME: Three-time champion Serena Williams set up an all-American final at the Italian Open with a comfortable 6-4, 6-1 semi-final win over Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu on Saturday.

Williams, the top seed, will now meet unseeded compatriot Madison Keys, 21, after she beat Spain’s third seed Garbine Muguruza 7-6 (7/5), 6-4 earlier.

The 34-year-old Williams has won three titles in the Italian capital, in 2002, 2013 and 2014.

Her bid for a fourth crown last year was ended after her first match when she pulled out of the tournament with an elbow injury.
