Zimbabwe wins toss, elect to bat first

LAHORE: Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbura won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Twenty20 match against Pakistan at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday.

Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi said that it is a good and memorable day for Pakistan. “We will try to restrict Zimbabwe to a low total,” he said.

Zimbabwean skipper Chibgumbura said that his team would be looking to set a good total.

“We are safe here and focusing on cricket,” he said. “We are enjoying the revival of international cricket in Pakistan,” he said.
