Airstrike kills Jundullah chief in Afghanistan

KABUL: Abu Huzaifa, the chief of proscribed Jundullah, has been killed in an airstrike in Afghanistan’s Kunduz province.

Quoting the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan media reported Jundullah chief Abu Huzaifa along with his three commanders was killed in an airstrike launched in coordination with the intelligence department.

NDS in a statement said the airstrike was carried out in Chahar Darea district around 4:30 pm local time.

The NDS further said Abu Huzaifa was leading the terrorist group in Afghanistan that was involved in the killing of dozens of innocent civilians.
