Complete shutdown in IOK over killing of father and son

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, against the killing of a father and his three-year-old son by unknown gunmen in Sopore.

Called by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani the strike was also aimed at protesting against the recent mysterious killings of six youth in Baramulla district.

A protest demonstration led by human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo was held in Srinagar against the killings. Protest demonstrations were also held at other places.

All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Voice of Victims and High Court Bar Association leaders Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt, Farida Behanji in their separate statements demanded probe by an independent agency into the gruesome incident.
