SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with five party activists in Sopore town, today, reported Kashmir media services.
Yasin Malik was arrested after he was going to visit and express solidarity in the town with the victim families of the two of the four youth whose bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Pattan and Tangmarg areas of Baramulla district. He was lodged at Sopore police station.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Naeem Ahmad Khan continued to remain under house arrest.
The leaders were not allowed to come out from their residences, the spokesman for the forum led by Syed Ali Gilani said in a statement.
Syed Ali Gilani and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for complete shutdown in the occupied territory,tomorrow, to protest against the cold-blooded murder of the four youth in Pattan and Tangmarg.
