Indian police arrest Aasiya Andrabi in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: In Occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Aasiya Andrabi in Srinagar on Tuesday in another act to suppress Kashmiris voice.


In a statement, the DeM spokesperson said that Aasiya Andrabi was first placed under house arrest by the police and later arrested and taken to Rambagh Police Station along with party leader Fehmeeda Sofi.

Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi were to visit Handwara to take part in a programme organized over the recent killing of five civilians in firing by Indian Army and police personnel on peaceful protesters.
