Malala urges world leaders to promise quality education

UNITED NATIONS: Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan has called on world leaders to promise safe, free and quality education to every child.


Speaking in UN General Assembly Hall, she stressed the need of unity in the goal of education and peace.

Later, addressing a press conference, she expressed the desire to go back to Pakistan and help promote education and put the country on the path to progress.

The 17 Global Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by the General Assembly just minutes after the youngest-ever Nobel Laureate addressed the Hall.
