Man shot by police at Dallas Love Field airport

A police officer opened fire Friday on a man purportedly threatening him with a rock in an incident outside the baggage claim area of Dallas Love Field airport.


One person has been taken to Dallas Parkland Hospital, local television reports, quoting Dallas Fire-Rescue officials.

A video of the incident indicates that an officer fired eight or nine times.

Ray Williams, who witnessed the attack, tells tells Dallas based channel .said a man went after officers with the rock after being asked to stop.

Bryan Armstrong, the person who shot the video and posted it to Instagram, tells American news channel that the man was shot after purportedly threatening police with a rock and refused to back away.

The video shows the police officer shouting repeatedly to “get down.” Armstrong says the man shot was taken from the airport by ambulance.

Dallas Love Field, the smaller of the two major airports in the Dallas area, is located in the northwest portion of the city.
