Mumbai Police assault two Muslim youths, asked them to go to Pakistan

MUMBAI: Two Muslim youths were allegedly thrashed by cops in Bandra police station and asked to go to Pakistan.

The two victims, Asif Shaikh and Danish shaikh, were allegedly beaten with belts and batons through the night after being picked up by cops.

According to the victims, they were allegedly told by cops to leave India and go to Pakistan.

The boys were picked up while they were on their bike. They had stopped near Bandstand when they saw two drunk men fighting on the road. When the police came to control the situation, they picked up the boys as well.

Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order) has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
