Relations with Pakistan very high on China’s agenda: President Xi

During a meeing with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Ufa, the Chinese President said relations with Pakistan are very high on China’s agenda.

He said China wants to maintain close ties with Pakistan and looking forward to President Mamnoon’s upcoming visit to China.

He invited the prime minister to attend the SCO meeting taking place in Beijing this year.
In his opening remarks Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said friendship with China is a cornerstone of our foreign policy.

He appreciated personal commitment of the Chinese leader to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The Prime Minister thanked President Xi for the support China has extended to Pakistan in the country’s effort to become a full member of the SCO.

Both the countries enjoy historic relations and in recent times the economic relations between the two countries have reached new heights with the Chinese commitment of investing forty-six billion dollars in Pakistan.
