Roadside bomb kills 5 civilians in Kandahar province, Afghanistan

KANDHAR: A roadside bombing has killed five civilians in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, AP reported.


The bomb went off on Tuesday morning in the remote district of Arghistan, according to Samim Akhplwak, the spokesman for the Kandahar provincial governor.

Two women and a child were wounded in the blast.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in the province considered the heartland of the Taliban insurgency.
