KABUL: Afghan Taliban have laid down the preconditions for talks with the Afghan government and said that talks will only be held upon the fulfillment of the conditions. The conditions include removal of their organization’s name from United Nations (UN) blacklist.

According to Afghan media, the preconditions were voiced by Taliban representatives during a conference in Doha. The conditions include the removal of Taliban from UN blacklist, permission from the UN Security Council for the freedom of mobility for the Taliban leaders and cancellation of the bill demanding the freezing of Taliban leaders’ assets.

The Taliban leaders say that they will only take part in the peace negotiations once their conditions are met.
