Two children of Dalit family burnt alive in India

Two children of a Dalit family, including a nine-month-old boy, were burnt alive and their parents injured on Tuesday after attackers set fire to their home in Haryana state of India.


According to reports in the Indian media, the attackers, said to be members of the Rajput community, sprinkled petrol on the Dalit family’s home early Tuesday and set it ablaze.

The fire burnt two kids, a nine-month-old boy and a two-and-half-year-old girl, to death while the parents sustained severe burn injuries.

The man sustained burn injuries on both his hands while his wife was in critical condition and admitted to the hospital, India media reported.

The incident triggered tensions in the Faridabad district of Haryana.
