UN Chief offers services to resolve Pakistan, India issues

The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon has expressed willingness to play his role for resumption of composite dialogue between Pakistan and India.

This was stated by Ban’s Spokesman Stephane Dujarric while talking to reporters at his daily briefing in New York.

He said whenever there is an issue between Member States, the Secretary-General’s offer for good offices stands as a matter of principle.

Meanwhile, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina has condemned the attacks on Kashmiri students in India.

In a statement in Srinagar, he said the harassment and assaults on Kashmiri students in India is intolerable and such acts should be probed thoroughly.

He said the Sikh community has always stood for the Kashmir cause.
