Yasin Malik, other party leaders arrested in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with several party leaders and activists in Srinagar on Friday.

The police arrested them when they were on their way to address a public gathering in Kangan area of Ganderbal district.

The JKLF spokesman strongly denouncing the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik and others said that victimization of pro-freedom leaders was the worst kind of state terrorism.

Meanwhile, the puppet authorities continued to place the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest in Srinagar.
