Avenfield verdict: PSX remains under pressure, closes flat after see-saw session

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) remains under pressure for the whole week and the trend on Friday was not different as the index at the close of first session lost 129 points to 40109 points.

Bouncing back on a last minute, KSE-100 Index closed today at 40284.14 points as compared to 40238.81 yesterday with a positive change of 45.33 points.

The total turnover was 103,893,040 as compared to 143,175,860 yesterday with K-Electric Limited reflecting the highest turnover of 40,474,000.

The total 320 companies’ transacted shares in the Stock Market today (Friday). Out of which 170 recorded gains and 123 sustained losses whereas the share price of 27 companies remained unchanged.

Island Textile recorded the maximum increase in its share price which was 52.00 rupees while Wyeth Pakistan Limited recorded the maximum decrease of 41.07 rupees.
