ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday recommended the interim government to raise the already increased price of petrol by Rs2.75 per litre, diesel by Rs3.00 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs4 per litre for the month of August 2018.
According to sources, the caretaker government, may leave the decision for a revision in petroleum prices to the incoming government.
Earlier on July 1, the interim government had hiked the price of petrol by Rs7.54 to Rs99.50 per litre, diesel by Rs14 to Rs119.3 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs3.36 to Rs87.7 per litre. It had also raised rates of other petroleum products.
However, after one week caretaker Federal Minister for Energy Syed Ali Zafar announced to slash prices of petroleum products.
Current fuel prices are:
Petrol – Rs95.24 per litre
High Speed Diseal – Rs112.94 per litre
Light Speed Diseal – Rs 75.37 per litre
Kerosene Oil – Rs83.96 per litre
