OGRA proposes to increase petroleum prices by Rs2.30 per litre

KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Friday proposed the Petroleum Division to increase petrol price by Rs2.30 per litre.


A decrease of Rs0.77 per litre in price of petrol has been suggested by Ogra.

According to sources, Ogra has also purposed to increase prices of high-speed diesel and kerosene oil by Rs2.30 per litre and Rs2.94 per litre.

An increase of Rs0.26 in price of light diesel has also been suggested.

Sources indicated that the Ministry of Finance, after consulting with the Prime Minister, will finalize the proposed price hike. The new rates are expected to be applicable from June 30.
