PM asked to provide public more relief during Ramzan: Awan

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan said on Monday the Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked to provide more relief to the public during the Holy month of Ramzan and issued instructions to overcome inflation during the month as well.


Speaking in a press conference, Dr Awan said the Utility Stores has been instructed to provide items of necessities on cheaper rates and the 19 utility stores have been given Rs2 billion worth of subsidies so they can make items available on affordable rates.

Awan said on the gram flour, a subsidy of Rs20 per kilogram has been given while on rice and tea, subsidies of Rs15 and Rs50 per kg respectively have been given.
