Earlier this month, the Premier said the government has decided to spend Rs100 billion every year for the next ten years on the progress for the tribal districts.
PM said, “living up to our commitment. A 3-week consultative process on 10 year development plan for former FATA is being initiated, starting from Bajaur.”
On March 15, Premier visited Mohmand and Bajaur Agencies where he presided a high-level meeting and was given updates about the administrative and security concerns resulting from the union of former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
After the meeting, PM said that lawful structure of tribal areas is of utmost significance and the projects will be kept free of corruption.
PM said that the unification of FATA with K-P will not alter norms of tribal residents but will steer a new age of progress.
