Universal Children’s Day being observed today

The Universal Children’s Day is being observed today (Wednesday) to create awareness on children’s rights and ensure a conducive environment focusing on their welfare.

Pakistan has taken many steps to ensure the protection of child rights and celebrating the day shows our commitment to all international obligations.

According to the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), every year millions of children around the world become victims of untold violence.

President Arif Alvi says PTI Govt is taking effective steps to ensure the provision of equal rights to children.

Universal Children’s Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare.

Today marks 30 years of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. These inspiring children are speaking out, claiming their rights and leading the way to the world they deserve.
