ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto telephoned Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday and expressed his support for the people of Kashmir.
Bilawal said during his talk with Mirwaiz that PPP would continue to support the people of Kashmir. Bilawal also condemned the violence of Indian army on unarmed Kashmiri people.
As a further show of support for the people of Kashmir, Bilawal called upon his party workers to protest all over the country tomorrow.
Violence erupted in occupied Kashmir over the past six days as 40 innocent and unarmed Kashmiri civilians were killed by the Indian army.
Curfew has been imposed in some parts of occupied Kashmir as the Kashmiris continued their strike against the Indian government.
Hurriyat representatives Syed Ali Shah Jeelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were placed under house arrest by the Indian government. Hurriyat representatives extended their strike against the Indian government till July 15, Friday.
