ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement parliamentarians met the prime minister in the National Assembly on Friday, as the premier made a rare appearance in the house.
Footage available with Geo News shows the prime minister standing up from his seat to meet MQM leaders Kunwar Naveed and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
However soon after the meeting the MQM staged a walk out from the assembly claiming the prime minister was not interested in hearing grievances related to their missing workers.
Speaking to the media outside the assembly he said, “We wanted to tell the prime minister about the atrocities that we face,” he said. “The urban youth of Sindh is not getting justice.”
He said that over 100 MQM workers were missing. “Police arrests our workers, but not a single case has yet been proven against them,” he said.
He said that “peace in Karachi was void of justice”.
